It's been a crazy week in the Matrix world! We just wrapped up three fantastic events this week: NAB Show in Las Vegas, mediaXchange in Washington D.C., and the OAAA/TAB Convention in Boca Raton. These varying events proved that no matter the vertical, media ad sales efficiency is obtainable via Matrix. On top of that, we are set to unleash a product update next week that we've been demonstrating live at the events to much fanfare. Matrix Product Updates

BIA-New-Product-LaunchMedia Market Forecast Powered by BIA/Kelsey is now available in the Matrix Premium Product. The Matrix CRM and Sales Intelligence release, available on April 30, 2016 to all customers, will significantly extend users’ capabilities for both budgeting and forecasting.

Leveraging the BIA/Kelsey data in the Matrix dashboard will enable users to:
• Estimate annual ad revenue growth
• Compare local markets to national averages
• Research and analyze spend by segment

More than $11 billion in advertising revenue was managed through Matrix in 2015, which includes a 15 % increase in digital revenue from 2014.

Welcome to the Team, Dan Tallarico
Dan Tallarico has joined Matrix as our Marketing Manager! Dan’s been getting familiar with Matrix for a couple of weeks now and is fitting in well. Dan’s most recent position was Marketing Manager at WebKite, which creates actionable data publishing solutions for unique information. The platform enables individual businesses to efficiently promote and drive traffic to their services and products through a proprietary platform that harnesses the best practices of search engines and ad delivery platforms.

Tuesday night, the Matrix Team hosted a sushi and cocktail reception at Tao Bistro in Las Vegas. Thanks to the many in attendance who joined us to raise a glass to a successful NAB Show. Check out images from the party here.

Last night, Matrix Solutions attended the "Engaging Pittsburgh: It's All About the People!" Reception. For over a decade, "Engaging Pittsburgh: It's All About the People!" (Formerly People Do Matter) has showcased efforts that have made a difference for employers and employees across the region by sharing lessons learned from over 150 organizations. Matrix was honored to be nominated by the Pittsburgh Human Resources Association as a finalist for this year's award.

They spend more than half their time on digital, mostly mobile

Advertisers looking to target Millennials – and that includes just about everyone these days – take note: Live TV is not the place to find them. Anecdotally, this has long appeared to be true. Ratings for the adults 18-34 demo have been on the decline for some time, and a quick look around a college campus tells you that young people these days are glued to their mobile screens. Read more.

U.S. Digital Ad Spend Just 1% Below TV

Digital ad spending will make up 35.8 percent of total media ad spending in the U.S. this year, just 1 percentage point below TV’s share, according to a new report from eMarketer. Outlays on digital ads will hit $68.82 billion this year, while TV spending will total $70.6 billion – a $1.78 billion difference. Still, TV’s dominance in the U.S. ad market is unquestioned: spending on every other media channel combined – print, radio, directories, and out-of-home – doesn’t come as close to the TV total as the amount spent on all forms of digital advertising. Read more.
